As Glenn Frey would
say, “The heat is on!” We have had some nice warm days in the past few weeks
with ample rain, something Southwest Florida has been wanting for a year
now. The cooler weather has passed and here at the nursery this means time
to pot up! Many palms which were before offered as seedlings are now nice
one gallons or larger, and are showing nice character to them.
FYI, Faulkner's Palms is still at the same location off of I-75 in Venice.
Relocation plans have been made, but the schedule is not pressing at the
moment, so moving will be done at an optimal time. I can’t give exact coordinates
yet, but I will not be moving more than an hour away for most of you, and
I will be in an even warmer climate. Size will be much greater as well.
Also, please check out the new seedlings. These I have grown in my heated
growroom over the winter and they have acclimated to the outside weather.
For those in the Northern Hemisphere, start your shovels now, and get a
jump on what looks to be a warm, wet summer.
Sincerely,
- Christian Faulkner, Faulkner's Palms
